Additional Information

The Legacy of the Jewel of the East representing East Carolina University in baton twirling, and the many other twirlers who came before the implementation of the Jewel, is rich in performance quality and field dynamics. If chosen to be the Jewel or as a part of a bigger section of twirlers I believe in following and adding to that legacy. I can expand upon the work already begun and live up to and beyond the standard already set. I will add to the legacy of baton twirlers at ECU by serving as a positive example of community involvement, sharing my outreach educational initiatives and encouraging young fans to look into future participation in the Marching Pirates as they open and close every single football games and represent at Homecoming! Additionally, I would love to cultivate a bigger presence on campus by looking for opportunities to show up and show out with my batons at basketball, volleyball, soccer and other sporting events that will allow me to perform. I am independent in finances and costuming and have a former Jewel of the East as my current coach who has committed to aiding me in attaining new and dazzling field and tailgate looks that will make the ECUMP proud to have me represent.
