Summary

- Kind and considerate Babysitter with detailed and expanding knowledge on Child Development and Early Childhood Education.

- I am a student of Irvine Valley College.

- I will have completed a total of 5 units so far in Early Childhood Education by May 16th, 2023, including:

HD110: Principles and Practices of Teaching Young Children

HD231: Child Maltreatment: Identification and Treatment

- I've led exciting and safe activities for children, mostly one on one, while setting examples for appropriate social behavior.

- I mostly let children lead their own fun, based on their individual interests, while making sure what they are doing is developmentally appropriate for their age and stage of growth.

- I don't have experience leading a large group of kids through a fun experience/project, however do enjoy getting to know the children individually, making sure they feel safe and are enjoying themselves. I enjoy talking with children about their interests and creative ideas to build positive relationships and trust.

- I would say I'm more of the quiet and attentive type with kids. I like to listen, and communicate on their level rather than bossing anyone around too loudly. This can create a calm environment but at the same time may also prevent me from being able to handle kids as a group rather than like how I prefer, communicating with them individually.

- I will prioritize safety and positive connections when leading/watching over an individual child or large group of children, over everything.

I enjoy cleaning and organizing my work environment, however I don't mind getting messy with crafts as long as we are all safe and having fun.
