  • Broadened clinical skill set beyond OB/GYN, adapting to a diverse patient population and a variety of exam types
  • Strengthened scanning technique, anatomical recognition, and patient communication across both pediatric and obstetric cases

Clinical Student

Boca Regional Hospital
05.2023 - 08.2023
  • Performed a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including DVT studies, abdominal, OB/GYN, and carotid scans under supervision
  • Developed efficiency and speed in image acquisition while maintaining diagnostic accuracy and patient care standards
  • Gained hands-on experience transporting patients from the Emergency Department and navigating various hospital departments
  • Learned and adhered to hospital protocols, improving adaptability and confidence in fast-paced, clinical settings

Clinical Student

South Palm Cardiovascular Associates
01.2023 - 05.2023
  • Gained foundational knowledge of echocardiography, including cardiac anatomy, physiology, and imaging principles

Certification

  • One year of clinical experience in out-patient and in-patient settings.
  • Sonographic Physics Instrumentation: Passed 2023-07
  • ARDMS OBGYN Registry: Passed 2025-08
  • Eligible to sit for abdomen, echo, and vascular registry exams.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

  • South Palm Cardiovascular Associates: January 2023-May 2023
  • I did my first rotation in echo. I was able to learn the basics of echocardiograms, anatomy and physiology, and also oversaw multiple vascular studies and procedures.
  • Boca Raton Regional Hospital: May 2023-August 2023
  • My second rotation was a general rotation where I was able to see and perform everything from DVT studies, abdomen, OB/GYN, and carotid scans. I learned how to be more efficient at this location while also getting comfortable and fast with my scans.
  • HCA Lawnwood Regional Hospital: September 2023-December 2023
  • Although my third rotation was meant to be for OB/GYN, I had the opportunity to see much more. There were a lot of first trimester scans, however I was able to perform pediatric ultrasound, from neonatal brains to appendix scans.
  • Delray Medical Center: January 2024-April 2024
  • My final rotation was another echo site. At this location I was able to solidify my knowledge of the heart and its functions. I saw a lot of pathology and procedures that helped me understand the effectiveness of sonography in the cardiovascular system.
