I am a friendly Procurement Associate who provides purchasing guidance for purchases over $10,000.00, and support to departments across all four campuses, covering various aspects of the procurement process. This includes helping staff and faculty members navigate SmartBuyMSU, supplier requests, approving invoices, managing purchase requisitions, understanding solicitation processes, and handling contracting. I ensure departmental compliance with MSU, state, and federal laws, rules, policies, and procedures. Additionally, I assist MSU staff via the e-procurement helpdesk with general procurement questions, Banner encumbrances and index changes. I am responsible for drafting contract amendments and change orders to reflect any adjustments to contracts or purchase orders. Furthermore, I approve BPAs, invoices and serve as a SmartBuyMSU Approver for Procurement.
Every morning, I picked up the campus mail from the Babcock Post Office, and made sure that the mail got safely from the facility to campus. The mail had to sorted quickly. I had to stick to a delivery schedule, making sure I was at specific locations at certain times.
My duties were to take care of ordering stock, keeping the calendar up to date with meetings, handling bank stuff, managing merchandise, and making sure the office stayed tidy. Perform various clerical duties, including filing, mailing, and document organization. Made sure everything continued to run smoothly.
I worked as a cashier and helped out on the floor. I know a bit about plumbing and electrical, and I've changed door locks and screens. I made sure customers got what they needed and left happy.
Enjoyed helping customers finding the clothes and gear they needed.
Worked in footwear and clothing, handling tasks such as folding, straightening, and sizing for both men and women, from hiking shoes to waders.
Expected to prepare enough good food on time in an orderly manner for 450 employees for lunch and dinner.
