Evaluate and carry out evidence-based treatment for adults with dysphagia and cognitive-communication impairments as a result of stroke, trauma, head/neck cancer, neuromuscular disorders, and other injuries/diagnoses in an acute care setting at the region's Level I Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center. Manage dysphagia and Passy Muir Speaking Valve placement for tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent patients. Skilled in conducting and analyzing Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies regularly.

Provided Speech Therapy services for adults in East Hawaii's healthcare system including the region's only acute care Level III Trauma Center, 35 bed long-term care facility and outpatient rehabilitation.

Provided comprehensive Speech services in a 308 bed acute care hospital with primary responsibilities focused on performing Clinical Swallow Evaluations and Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies.

Worked at the region's Level III Trauma Hospital and inpatient rehabilitation center. Developed and implemented treatment plans focused on functional goals for adult individuals with dysphagia, cognition, and communication impairments. Primary responsibilities in the acute care setting included evaluation and treatment of cognition and swallowing in medically complex individuals as well as conduction of Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies.
