Server Duties - Serving and bussing tables, cleaning and stocking, occasional hosting and expediting, upselling, utilization of Point of Sale and handheld technology to clearly communicate customer orders for employees working in the back of house, training team members in the proper procedures of the restaurant, preparing to-go orders, customer service and problem solving, large party service.
Bartender Duties - Serving customers, occasionally hosting and/or expediting, answering phone calls, taking reservations and to-go orders, overseeing payment and distribution of to-go items, merchandise sales, pouring beer/wine and mixing cocktails (both standard and specialty), customer service and relations, making popcorn for happy hour, running the till. There were times as bartender when I would be the only front of the house worker operating the entire restaurant.
