Professional Highlights

Instructional Leadership: Students, Teachers, and Data 

  • Created school-wide databases and processes for calculating, summarizing, and analyzing data to plan for the best possible outcomes for all students
  • Led the development and construction of the master schedule to meet the needs of over 2,500 students and approximately 130 staff members
  • Built and created databases and schoolwide tracking systems to lead the monitoring of all guidance and student services functions including the creation of graduation cohort trackers for each grade level (500 students per grade level) that over 30 members of the leadership and guidance teams utilized to track student GPA's, credits, test scores, college and career indicator completion, as well as college acceptances, scholarship awards, and FAFSA completion, Super Scholars, etc.
  • Utilized the graduation cohort trackers to analyze trends, inform decision making, and present during weekly and monthly guidance and leadership team meetings, resulting in an increase of school's graduation rate from 95% to 99% in two years, an increase of the school’s acceleration rate +37% from 49% to 86% in three years, and an increase of the number of Super Scholars from 2 to 15 in three years.
  • Created school-wide systems and processes for calculating, summarizing, and analyzing data to plan and develop the school-wide master schedule and ensure effective student course placement/scheduling for the best possible outcomes for all students
  • Led and collaborated with the math department consisting of over 20 teachers, including the math coach, to establish realistic goals through the development of quarterly content specific action plans based student achievement data on prior year state tests, and summative and formative assessments. Compiled, shared, and analyzed student achievement data results and instructional strategies during weekly PLC and leadership meetings and quarterly district data chat meetings and adjusted action plans accordingly. As a result, the school’s math achievement increased +15%, math learning gains +25%, and math learning gains for the lowest 25 percent +22% from 2017-2022.
