I joined the Fire Department 25 years ago because I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. Since that day my passion and enthusiasm for making a difference has continued to grow. I decided early in my career that I wanted to promote to a leadership role in the fire service to impart my enthusiasm and passion for serving others. I wanted to set an example that others would respect and want to follow. I set my goals high and have been working to achieve those goals since the first day on the job. I have worked to further my education in the fire service by earning my AAS degree. I obtained my Amateur Radio License when I was 14 so that I could assist with radio communications during and after disasters. I have been involved in Emergency Management, assisting in the Emergency Operations Center involving communications since that time.
