Accomplishments

Project Management:

  • Led the office efforts in funding over $418,000 in COVID relief grants and loans to support small businesses impacted by the pandemic.
  • Created in collaboration with the River District Association a bootcamp for aspiring entrepreneurs. Over 350 individuals have participated in the Dream Launch bootcamp over the last three years.
  • Project lead in the first Historic Tax Credit project for the Industrial Development Authority totaling $1.8m.
  • Successfully wrote a grant through the National League of Cities for the City of Danville, Virginia to increase economic inclusion and resilience for communities of color.
