Surgical Progressive Care Unit

-Primarily care of CT surgery, plastics, and all surgical patients.

-Management of cardiac drips, tracheostomies, and all matter of complex wounds and incisions.

-Occasionally floated to ICUs and other progressive care units.

• ICU, IMC, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, LTAC
• Coordinated nursing care as charge nurse on unit through staff assignments, assisting and rounding with physicians, monitoring patient orders, and communicating with ancillary departments.

• Responsible for monitoring and managing unstable patients requiring cardiac drips, insulin drips, and Heparin infusions.
• Provided care to patient's experiencing respiratory complications requiring continuous BiPAP or tracheostomy management.

• Long Term Acute Care
• Long term tracheostomy and ventilator management.
• Sedation, cardiac drips, severe and complicated wound management.

• Telemetry Unit
