A new graduate nurse with great expectation in becoming a strong team member and employee to any residency program. As a new nurse, I am willing to work the time needed in becoming a proficient nurse with increasing skills, knowledge, education, and courage. I have over 2,300 hours of clinical experience by rotation in departments such as Emergency/trauma centers, medical surgical unit, L & D, pediatric centers, psychiatry, functional health and fundamental nursing. During nursing school I was a full time student and my extracurricular activities included volunteering as a youth counselor & mentor, mission developments overseas, and assisting non profit organizations to help serve my local community. As a nurse my vision is to extend healing and safety to those suffering from medical conditions or emotional ones. Nursing is beyond the bedside, it’s a calling that takes a special heart and diligent care.
As an infusion nurse, my role demanded strong time management and special attention to patients. These patients were typically healthy & coming in for hydration and health maintenance. I took pride in placing IVs with both efficiency and professionalism while always maintaining the highest level of patient integrity and comfort. Each interaction was an opportunity to combine clinical skill with compassionate care, and also build relationships with nursing staff and patients within the consistency of the clinic.
As a graduate RN, I worked in long-term care for a few months to build a strong foundation in patient safety, clinical skills, time management, and nursing assessment. During this job, I was responsible for administering medications, providing wound care, and delivering quality care. This position helped my nursing skills by becoming patient with difficult assignments while maintaining a good attitude & safe care.
As an extern in the emergency department, safety and prioritization were central to my role. I developed critical foundational skills, including IV insertion, catheter care, EKG monitoring, and assisting with psychiatric and trauma patients. I also gained exposure to triage and learned the value of teamwork in creating a safe and functioning ER environment. This job allowed me to learn how to adapt and become a strong nurse in adversity.
As a nurse extern in a busy medical-surgical unit at a trauma hospital, I supported nurses by providing ADL care and assisting with critical cases along with special patient population. I helped manage a full floor of patients alongside the nursing team, gaining hands on experience in patient safety, clinical exposure, and the fundamentals of care. This fast-paced environment strengthened my ability to adapt, prioritize, and care for patients with professionalism and empathy. This job position helped me become the nurse I am today.
Compassionate and patient focused nurse who treats the job with care and excellence. I have experience providing safe and attentive care in fast-paced settings such as the ER. I am skilled in IV insertion, EKG monitoring, and effective time management while prioritizing patient needs. My background includes hands on clinical experience with exposure to acute assessments, rapid interventions, and collaborative teamwork. I would describe my greatest traits to be resilience, adaptability, task oriented, and willing to ask questions. I desire to learn every day how to become a greater nurse.
