  • Co-Founded the Alliance of Families Fighting Pancreatic Cancer (AFFPC) in 2012, following the passing of my father from this disease. The AFFPC occupies a central role in uniting several other grass-roots foundations and groups to promote awareness, raise funds for research and support patients, families and survivors.
  • Solely responsible for the Annual Pancreatic Soiree, which is the organizations annual fund raising event, held at Old Palm Golf club and attracting over 200 attendees each year. This event has raised in excess of $1mm for cutting edge genetic research and patient advocacy over the past 5 events.
  • Established key partnerships and sponsorships with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Berg Health to fund and promote innovative research programs.

  • Instrumental in building the US hedge fund business from the ground up by both identifying new potential investors and bringing in my established relationships across family offices, high & ultra high net worth individuals as well as endowments, foundations, insurance companies and pension funds.
  • Raised substantial assets for several of the BTG Pactual funds, including approximately $1 bn for the flagship Global Emerging Market Macro fund (GEMM) assets taking the AUM to in excess of $2bn.
  • Launched the Distressed Mortgage Fund in partnership with the Managing Partner in charge of mortgage products and the COO. In addition to fund raising, was responsible for creating all the marketing materials including the due diligence questionnaire.
  • Solely responsible for bringing a large key client to the firm, who not only invested across variety of BTG funds, but also created a US rates focused managed account.
  • Managed a team that developed and executed a comprehensive Investor Relations and market intelligence program for investor audience and internal stakeholders. The team maintained and developed Investor Relations database, sent weekly performance reports, wrote/edited newsletters, maintained the Investor DDQ, compiled client/prospect reports, created and updated marketing materials and reviewing subscription documents.

  • In 2007, solely responsible for re-negotiating and extending the commitment of around $750mm of existing investor’s capital (predominately U.S. Based investors) for an additional one year hard lock.
  • Reported directly to the Managing Partners and, as part of the management team, worked closely with the COO, CFO and CRO.
  • Worked on new business development, providing investor and industry feedback; instrumental in the planning, launch and initial capital raise for the Long/Short equity Fund in 2006.
