A passionately empathetic Nursing Professor, Simulation Specialist, and Specialty Nurse with years of clinical experience floating between Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, NICU, E.R., I.M.C., Surgery, P.A.C.U., Conscious Sedation, and Medical/Surgical departments. Honored experience as a Collegiate Educator, Clinical Coordinator, and SIMMT Simulation Specialist. Master's trained in Nursing Education to enrich patient care, simulation, classroom, in situ, pre-hospital, acute-care and clinical education. Continued certification and training as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) in Botox/Fillers, Aesthetics, Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), Micro-Needling, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Xosome injection, Body Sculpting, IV Therapy, Vitamin B12/MIC injection, Lab Draws, Sexual Health, and BLS Instr.

I am highly interested in furthering the field of healthcare. I was drawn to the medical field after loosing a child to cancer after a tracheostomy and extensive medical treatments. Those years engrained a passion for medicine. Nursing school embedded a holistic approach to the nursing practice. Years of progression through inter-departmental specializations secured depth of skill and teachable experiences. I have invested a total of fifteen years post-secondary education to develop classroom management and adaptive teaching techniques for my students and peers. I had to perform on a proactive level as the only nurse in the obstetrics unit at night. I attended two extensive computer aided engineering (C.A.E.) courses to develop simulated medical training scenarios to disseminate across the state with the Simulation in Motion Montana (SIMMT) professional team. That evidence based material and life-saving techniques are shared with my nursing cohorts, clinical connections, simulation classes, and skills labs. Interprofessional collaboration and communication have been a primary focus in my Simulation and Leadership and Management courses. I feel that I am a lifelong learner, obtaining Advanced Practice Registered Nursing (APRN) certifications in the field of Aesthetics after obtaining my Master’s of Science in Nursing Education. I have honed those skills to provide hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), PRP and Botox injectables, IV Therapy, weight loss options, and sexual health therapies. I am passionate about education, collaboration, and feel fully prepared for this opportunity.
