576 hours of cumulative clinical experience on various units throughout rotations including Medical/Surgical, CCU, IMU, SICU, Gery Psych, OR, PACU, Mental health hospital, L&D, etc. Essential skills developed during clinical rotations including 

• Complete health assessment - Obtaining a baseline assessment of patient while thoroughly monitoring vital signs, pertinent labs, and specific screenings.
• Morning report/ Shift Change - Observed skilled nurses utilizing SBAR to give brief, yet thorough report on the patient's condition and any changes in the plan of care.
• Critical thinking of Pharmacology - Utilizing the drug book to enhance understanding of the specific medications and its rationale for administration. Also monitoring for parameters due to the effects of each medications to the patients. This includes vital signs, critical labs, and possible adverse effects.
• Round the clock care - Monitoring patients on hourly basis to ensure safety checks, maintenance of clean environment, call light requests, feeding assistance, turning, etc.
