  • Float position to train and assist 2 + associates. Duties include: Means Test Clerk, Admission/Bed Control Clerk, and Decedent Affairs Clerk. Verifying and executing patients' admissions. Conduct Pre-registration, Means Test, and update veterans' demographic data and insurance information on the computer via telephone, bed control, and queue appointment letters for print. Manage and maintain a death listing via a spreadsheet and prepare a condolence card for the VAMC's Director.   • Successfully improved and updated operations in Decedent Affairs. Assist risk management with notification and location of next of kin, work closely with family members to notify funeral homes, and prepare contract burial applications.
