From November 2022 until May 2023 I was a barista at Scooter's Coffee before I got promoted to a shift lead. As a shift lead, I was expected to lead daily work shifts, ensuring the team followed store procedures and maintained a positive, efficient work environment. While also Opening and closing the store as required, overseeing cash handling, safety protocols, and cleanliness. While being a shift lead, I was expected to train and mentor baristas, offering guidance on product preparation, customer service, and time management. Finally, I ensured that operational standards were met during shifts, including inventory checks, product quality, and customer experience. Recently, starting in October 2024, I was promoted to Assistant Manager. As an assistant manager, I am expected to collaborate with the store manager to create weekly schedules, ensure adequate staffing levels for efficient store operations, manage inventory and place weekly product orders, maintain optimal stock levels, and minimize waste.
