Team has successfully opened 12 locations in last 12 months with several record•
breaking openings.
Most recent record was opening day sales of $18k breaking the previous record
established in 2001.

Designed Company's first double drive thru window.•
Unit opened in Q2 2016 and has maintained the fastest drive thru times in the
company.

New design allows us to serve up to 22 more cars per hour at peak times with only 1
additional head count.

  • Promoted to SVP of Operations as well as retained all current responsibilities in Development and Franchising.
  • Company was a couple of months out from announcing sale and it was determined we needed to strengthen our store level operations.
  • I was tasked with revamping the field structure, retraining and recertifying all company (155) stores.
  • Also was assigned to the team that would pitch and ultimately sell the company to new private equity (TPG Growth December, 2015).
  • Selected Accomplishments: Implemented new customer satisfaction survey tracking- experience, taste, value, accuracy, speed, and friendliness.
  • Results improved across all categories- including raising overall customer satisfaction by 10% with accuracy rates for drive thru over 90%.
  • Implemented new engagement reports measuring relevant KPI's tying to new bonus and compensation plan resulting in industry leading gross margin of 45%.

  • Joined Taco Bueno, a regional private equity owned entity, with the directive to remodel a subset of existing locations and design a new prototype for new unit expansion and franchising.
  • Ultimately positioning the company to be put on the market for sale.
  • Responsible for all aspects of Real Estate, Design, and Construction as well as Franchise Sales and Operational Support.
  • Selected Accomplishments: Remodeled over 100 locations in less than one year, that drove sales over 4% per location.
  • The remodel budget was $90k per location, came in under budget and ahead of schedule resulting in an average ROI of 27%.
  • Designed a new 2200sf prototype for smaller real estate sites that shaved $200k off existing design but improved throughput and customer experience.
  • Units built in 2014 and 2015 outperformed recent new builds by over $100k and gave an ROI of over 60%.
  • Designed and built company's first end cap strip center location.
  • Initiative was to design a 1500-2000sf strip center prototype for Franchising and smaller rural communities.
  • Unit is now just over 3 years old and averaging $1.3M in sales, (plan was $1M).
  • Design is $450k less than ground up building and 90 days less planning and construction time.
  • Returned similar ROI to average free standing units.

  • Entered the fast growing, highly competitive self serve frozen yogurt industry just before the peak of the short lived category.
  • Selected accomplishments: Took the new start up division from 4 locations in early 2011 to 16 by the end of 2012.
  • Saw potential in Q4 of 2012 to purchase other smaller brands and merged with U-Swirl and Yogurtini bringing total unit count to 66.
  • Took advantage of buying power to reduce food and paper costs by 4% for company and franchised locations.
  • Then had a new 3 headed brand for strength in category for franchise growth and future acquisitions.
  • Continued in 2013 purchasing other smaller brands before leaving Rocky Mountain for Taco Bueno opportunity.

  • Remodel addressed customer facing issues, beverage stations, and pepper bar.
  • Oversaw 44 Regional Operations Managers that were responsible for 2200 of the chains units.
  • Successfully increased operational audits to an average of 92% from 60% when began in role.

  • Franchise Owner and Area Developer for the Wichita, Hutchinson, Topeka, Manhattan, and Lawrence, KS DMA's.
  • Purchased the Franchise Development rights and opened my first Quiznos in 1997.
  • Selected accomplishments: Had a 10 year contract with Quiznos Corporation to sell and open 33 Franchised units in my DMA's.
  • Built the infrastructure and team to sell franchisees, find real estate, design multiple sized and unique spaces, oversee all construction, and support openings as well as ongoing training and operations.
  • Completed original contract goal in 6 years, and ultimately opened 38 Franchised units surpassing goal.
  • Was a major part of the team that took Quiznos from a small regional player (less than 100 units when I joined), to over 5,200 units and an International Brand when I left the company.
  • I was the only member to be a part of the Area Developer Council and the Franchise Advisory Board.
  • My development of the Kansas market helped launch many of the systems we used nationally for building out markets as well as the way we supported units once open.
  • My territory consistently led the Nation in Operations metrics, sell to opening time frame, and sales/ lease ratio.
  • Personally owned and over saw operations for12 Quiznos Franchise units.
  • Unit sales were 25% higher than national average and consistently in the top 10% nationally for customer service scores, food and labor costs.
