- Responsible for assisting the students when using the bathroom
- Corespond with students IEP when teaching to make sure every need is met to fit the individual student’s needs, interests, and abilities
- Supervise during testing and making sure the needed materials are gathered for completion
- Preform administration of medication, tube feeding, and catherization instructed by a health care profession
- Participate in training such as restraint training
- Responsible in daily independent working with a one-on-one student completing their data and recording their progression
- Help the students incorporate their communication devices into their daily routine
- Watching over students when in use of a tricycle or a gait trainer
- Taking kids to enrichment and interacting with other students practicing inclusions
- I am completing an internship there where I help the Occupational Therapist prepare the materials, she needs for therapy each day
- I help work with the exercises that the patients
- I also work to complete notes for the session under the guidance of my mentor, compare notes from previous visits to ensure progress and what was successful in prior sessions
- I work to build relationships with clients to ensure their comfortability so they can get maximum benefits from therapy.

- During my high school career, I worked in the Community Hands mentorship program at Franklin County High School
- The students had Moderate to Severe Disabilities and required a multitude of services
- I worked with the therapists when they came in to provide services and used the strategies they taught for each student when working with them
- This was a program that allowed me to shadow therapists as well as volunteer with the student.
