• Mind Matters | University of Maryland, Fundraising Coordinator, Mind Matters is a student-led mental health organization that spearheads initiatives to promote mental wellness, reduce stigma, and expand access to mental health resources across the University of Maryland campus. The organization collaborates with campus partners to host awareness campaigns, educational programming, and community-centered events that support student well-being. As Fundraising Coordinator, I led efforts to secure financial support for mental health programming by planning and executing fundraising campaigns, outreach initiatives, and donation drives.
• Changemaker Pathways | University of Maryland, Changemaker Pathways is a University of Maryland leadership development program that equips students with the skills, mentorship, and experiential learning needed to drive positive social change. The program emphasizes civic engagement, ethical leadership, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving through workshops, cohort-based learning, and community impact projects.
• Saturday Freedom School: Originally created in 1990 and inspired by the Black Panther movement. This program is intended for PG county middle schooler's to learn about African American history through mentorship and community involvement
• Class Secretary (Class of 2023), As secretary, I helped to organize multiple fundraisers over the course of 2 ½ years. I also worked closely with the Student Government Association to organize fundraisers for community initiatives.
• Kindness Club, President 11th grade, Kindness club aims to provide a safe space for students to share thoughts and ideas and spread kindness through small acts throughout the year. A place to challenge ourselves mentally with our peers and gain feedback on school-related matters, whilst promoting a safe and loving school community.
• Captain on the Track and Field Leadership Team 11th grade, The track and field leadership team was created in 2021 in efforts to gain morale and camaraderie on the team. We created PowerPoints and prepared speeches to bring awareness to certain issues that affect our team as well as solutions.
• Co-chair of the DEI committee, School Leadership and I worked closely to create a committee that promoted diversity and accountability to our community. Our goal was to create a more inclusive and equitable environment for students to thrive and grow perspectives to embrace and confront change.
• Outstanding Young Women’s Leaders BCPS, Selected by my high school principal to serve as the school representative amongst hundreds of applicants in Baltimore County. As a coalition we worked diligently to gain leadership skills through seminars, panels, and workshops. We worked collectively to create our community project: a mental health resource pamphlet (outlined the definition, possible triggers, online resource outlets and help lines) located in the guidance office for student accessibility.
• Patchwork Program, This was a mentoring initiative that I spearheaded to pair incoming freshman and sophomores with challenges such as ADHD, Anxiety and Depression with upperclassmen to help navigate their high school experience.
