As senseless as it sounds, I've always wanted to live in Italy because my grandmother was Italian. So, I decided to work at a local Italian restaurant in an effort to somehow grow closer to this dream. For two years I was a cashier, hostess, and server. I learned communications skills, how to be resourceful in a timely manner, how to manage stress in overwhelming situations, and, of course, a lot about Italian food.

I started working at Watanut this year as a retail assistant, and have since cultivated a lot of skills in creating conversation with customers, balancing personal/professional life, and have established a further appreciation for the town that I live in and all of the flourishing opportunities that are being created within it.
