Accomplishments

  • I managed a monumental task for DPI where we trained over 300 retail personnel’s over an 8 week period to execute this program, training personnel to clean and repair grinders, fixtures, etc... We had not performed these in depth services for any other specialty items and were not experts on coffee. Safeway was concerned because of the size of the business and potential negative impact it could have on their consumers. We had not transitioned a PL business this large and Safeway told us they always have complaints even when they make the smallest changes in their programs. Needless to say, under my leadership there were virtually no complaints, I think there were 5 phone calls nationally. Safeway said it was the most successful Private Label transition they have ever executed.
