Anyone that knows me well knows how much my music means to me. I've been enrolled at School Of The Arts since August 2018. I started singing early in my life and then carried my talents to their vocal department. I've been apart of the schools honor choir since my junior year and was apart of it for my senior year as well. Being apart of a choir like mine has taught me how to be a team player. Although singing isn't like football or basketball but it still has the same characteristics like putting in practice, having good work ethic, be a team player. Singing is something I've always loved and I'm so glad it's something I've been able to do for the past 6 years. I've gained so much experience and have felt like I've worked professionally. In my sophomore year I even gotten to teach a song and conduct it for our year end concert. I've learned to balance the job of singing and also keeping up my school work. Our school even put on three major musicals being Les Mis, Phantom Of The Opera, and Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. I had restless days but learning how to balance the pressure has shown me what coping mechanisms and study habits to use while working in college.
This job is something that I've been doing way longer than dated but that date is when I officially began. My grandmother is an Apostle so I've been surrounded by church all my life. For many years I've participated in many programs in my church like The praise and Worship Team, The Media and Marketing Team, The Youth Departments, The Adjutants and so much more. Being in the church is what has made me the leader I am today.
I've learned so much about what it's like to help people and meet their needs. We live in a world were society has so much pressure on all people and everyone's mental health is being deteriorated day by day. I also learned how to operate a sound board and do media during a rough patch in 2020 when I was needed.
My job as an assistant to the pastor has taught me how to have a heart of servant hood and learn from others.
With that being said being a youth pastor in training has also taught me how to be a leader and speak life into people. My church has brought me so many skills that I will use when I join your team.
For the past few years I've been working in the media and marketing department at my church. Learning to do the things I do for my church opened my book of versatility. When I started making flyers and helping promote for my church I knew nothing about what l'd being doing. I've learned so much about using my creativity and skills to cultivate something out of nothing. Although I had new clue what I was doing my persistence pushed me to lear and dig deep to find artistic abilities that I didn't know I had. Getting to learn to market and design helped me with being able to see someone else's vision and breathe life into it. The skill I was able to learn was being able to recognize and see other people's mindset and be able to tell my own perspective through someone else's vision.
This is a skill I can bring to this job, which will help me connect with other people.
I started working at Chick-Fil-A in 2022 after my 16th birthday. I was loved by customers and staff for my diligence and work ethic. After only 4 months working on the job I became a trainer and began getting to help other people. Getting to be a trainer taught me how to use my innate leadership skills. I learned how to react in stressful situations and still be a leader. There were so many life lessons I learned and I will take all the skills I've equipped with me. I know that this job will help me with being apart of your team because l've learned consistency, courage, boldness and so many other things that will accomplish this occupations goals.
For a period of time I produced and edit the media for a podcast. During this time my friend and I talked about real issues that teenagers face and gave a perspective on those issues from our generations viewpoint. I self taught myself how to cut, edit, and paste audio together. This job took creativity, time and passion. It gave me a sense of responsibility to make sure that I didn't miss deadlines for editing and posting videos.
