Officer Duties include:
Manning of metal detector screening stations at hospital entrances in effort locate and deter entry of weapons and contraband from either patients and/or visitors.
Responding to calls for service in relation to disturbances, triggered building fire alarms, suspicious or combative individuals on hospital grounds and to city the wide UMC quick care and primary care facilicities.
Conducting investigations of workplace violence incidents, vehicle accidents, lost or stolen property, obtaining witness/victim statements, gathering of evidence photographically or otherwise if applicable and writting incident reports.
Processing intake of Legal 2000 patients through multi-step security procotol. Restrainting of combative persons/patients to hospital gurneys and/or restraint chairs when applicable.
Deceased patient body escorts with mortuary personnel. De-escalation of high stress situations involving hospital visitors/guests, patients and employees.
Assisting law enforcement as needed including but not limited to: providing information for investigations, security stand-by's, accompanying and/or physically assisting with in-custody patients upon request.
Providing parking enforcement by issuing vehicle violations, directing vehicle travel and controlling vehicle access by use of cones, caution tape and barricades on hospital parking lots and multi-floor garages as needed.
Patrolling of apartment buildings, gated pool and spa areas in order to ensure following of property rules and indentify violators.
Issuing of tow notices of unauthorized and/or abandoned vehicles.
Conducting surveilance of suspcious activity throughout property grounds and documentation thereof.
Anotating of daily patrol logs for management, anotating unregistered guests or unregistered tenants, unsightly porch area violations and damaged company property.
Conducting incident reports on injured individuals, violent criminal acts, theft, burglary and property damage.
Trespassing of vagrants.
Conducting vacancy checks of non rented apartments and ensuring that such are locked securely.
Investigations, Incident report writting, Surveillance, Hostile incident de-escalation, Defensive tactics and in use of OC spray, Metal baton and firearms and handcuffing
