I am writing today to apply for the job of a forklift operator. I have always been fond of working with and around machines. I say that to express my great interest in being trained to operate a forklift and eventually becoming officially certified through a training program. If granted the opportunity, I believe having this skill can make me a highly valuable employee. Going into my work experience, my first job as a truck washer has instilled beneficial values that I think will help greatly on the job. One of these traits is being able to stand and actively work for hours at a time. I am also accustomed to continuous physical labor due to working at a FedEx warehouse as a loader and unloader and have proven to myself that I am able to work in a fast-paced environment. Also working at Food Lion has taught me important traits such as being able to work well with others and being able to communicate with my teammates effectively. These traits will be carried over to the job along with a constant positive attitude and great punctuality. Considering this, I think I would make a great addition to your team.
