Volunteer

Chicago, Illinois: June 21, 2023

During AbbVie's Week of Possibilities, I partnered with Cradles to Crayons and volunteered at The Giving Factory in Chicago. In collaboration with other interns, we assembled backpacks with essential school supplies, including notebooks, pencils, pens, and other stationary, to provide Chicagoland's underserved children the tools to thrive in the upcoming school year.

Bogota, Colombia: July 15, 2017 - July 30, 2017

Through IVHQ, International Volunteer HQ, I completed a two-week program in Bogota, Colombia in July 2017. I participated in several activities, including construction and renovation projects, providing freshly cooked meals for those less fortunate, tending to toddlers in orphanages, and provisioning companionship to the elderly in long-term care facilities. Working together in small groups with other volunteers, both communication skills and being team-orientated sustained the focus on the importance of cooperation to serve impoverished communities.
