• I was hired to continue position started with Green Circle Growers. KFG operates the same program in Michigan, Indiana, N. Kentucky and now Northern Ohio Walmart stores. The same responsibility was under the title of Field Manager rather than Regional Manager.
• I improved merchandising execution, in-stock levels, merchandiser assistance and training. I completed administrative tasks and improved greatly the working relationship with store management. Merchandising improved with increased merchandiser training.
• I hired and trained 18 seasonal supervisors and merchandisers each season. I know and understand the proper ways to prepare and complete interviews, new hire paperwork and required federal documentation. I utilized recruiter services for applicants.
• Responsibilities entailed working with merchandising and store teams in 29 different Walmart stores located in Northern Ohio. I greatly improved the working environment and merchandising execution. Stores were recognized regularly during WM visits.
• I completed payroll auditing, approval and submission weekly for my entire team. I also submitted expenses for company credit cards and company vehicles on weekly basis.

• I was recruited to the Walmart program as Northern Ohio regional manager. I helped finalize program structure and job descriptions. We developed daily task lists and communication standards for merchandisers. I communicated TAP program and merchandiser expectations during spring market presentations. I attended vendor meeting in Bentonville, AR for spring program kickoff. We visited and communicated to all store garden center teams program details and merchandiser contacts
• I helped develop payroll and hiring plans for 63 Northern Ohio stores. Calculated mileage and times between stores for expense budgeting and schedule planning. I utilized Indeed.com for recruiting and hiring all staff. I conducted initial screening of applicants and conducted phone interviews. Then followed up with in-person interviews of best candidates and scheduled orientation and training in various markets.

• I started as merchandiser in 5 Toledo market stores. After 60 days, I was elevated to district manager and hired up merchandisers for the new market. I utilized local newspapers for sourcing new hires. As district manager I was responsible for hiring and training merchandisers to work in each store full time. Positions were seasonal full time.
• I performed scheduling of merchandising teams, payroll execution and approval, communicating logistics to team and stores, perform inventory counts and visually merchandising all plant varieties in stores. We set up all tables and displays in the spring and Christmas tree corrals in the fall. We received plant deliveries and merchandised product on front aprons and on garden center tables.
• Worked with Home Depot store managers and department managers to create new displays, expand merchandising real estate in store and at store front aprons. Re-created indoor plant displays with new pergolas over the displays areas.
• Coached our merchandisers in proper merchandising fundamentals, professional coordination with Home Depot store teams, supplied product information and handled customer or store complaints.
• Utilized GCG internet dashboard to monitor daily sales, review weekly orders and shipments, perform inventory counts and communicate to merchandisers. Utilized web based MS Outlook and MS Office proficiently with MS Word documents and MS Excel spreadsheets.
• Promoted to regional manager July 2010. Added Detroit district to my responsibilities and I oversaw the markets 6 stores operated by our existing district manager and teams. I helped to improve communication and service in GCG supplied stores. We initiated programs to improve visual merchandising and displays outside of stores. We improved operation of existing irrigation systems in stores with repairs and upgrades. We also bettered communication with district and regional staff of Home Depot.
