Utilize past health care experiences to meet and exceed VA goals to provide the best care and
outcomes for Veterans. To assist the health care team to deliver quality, cost effective health care
that allows Veterans to achieve their highest quality of life possible. I have 26 years of healthcare
experience, 14 years of these have been with Veteran Affairs Central Iowa Health Care System and look forward continuing to expand my knowledge and skills within VACIHCS to enable personal and professional growth.
I delivered patient care according to Plan of Care under the direction of nursing staff and job
description/state guidelines for CNAs as part of a healthcare team. To include working both Skilled
nursing floor and CNF. Assisting resident with all ADL's as well as assisting nursing staff to monitor
vital signs, wound care and/or wound drains. I also assisted in the business office as an accounting
clerk as needed.

I performed all administrative front office duties, including triaging high volume phone calls, verify insurance, confirming accuracy of patient demographics. Working back office I would room patients for the physician, completing any ancillary needs the
physician may have required to include, monitoring vital signs, perform phlebotomy for necessary
labs, perform EKGs. I also assisted with minor in office procedures.
