My professional career reflects years of experience building relationships in the community to provide a continuum of transition services to students with disabilities and coordinate services for students to have access to community-based learning opportunities so they can develop skills needed to achieve their highest level of independence.
As Transition Coordinator, I actively involve school staff, students, and families in the transition planning process, better preparing them to navigate a complex system of services. I look forward to continuing this work, improving outcomes for our students with disabilities as they transition to life after high school, and continuing the work of strengthening the quality of Postsecondary Transition Plans to address Pre-Employment Transition Services that support students with disabilities in reaching their postsecondary goals regarding education, training, employment, and independent living.
