Summary

I am in my second year of being a Master's level therapist. I am very passionate about what I do. My daughter is a junior in high school and wants to major in psychology because she sees how much I love it. I have tremendous empathy for my clients because I have been through a lot of the same challenges. I am authentic, which clients love, so I am able to establish rapport and trust with about 98% of them. Over half of them are comfortable with me at our initial session. I have had clients refuse to transfer after only one time meeting with me. I was told by one of my supervisors that the skill I am best at, you can't learn from a book, and that is reading people, adapting to them, and gaining their trust. I do not look like most therapists, and I believe that works for me.
