• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders including receptive/expressive language delays, social communication challenges, speech sound disorders, and pragmatic language needs.
• Implement evidence-based individualized and group therapy aligned to students’ IEP goals.

• Conducted speech, language, and swallowing evaluations and provide skilled treatment in a subacute setting

• Completed formal and informal motor, speech, language, cognitive, and swallow assessments with recommendations and goals for ongoing skilled speech therapy provided in acute rehabilitation, outpatient, and acute care settings.
• Complete Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies for patients in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and as outpatients including recommendations for diet modifications and swallow treatments.
• Participation in monthly task force for measuring functional outcomes of Westlake Hospital’s acute rehabilitation utilizing comparative norms via FIM (Functional Independence Measure) data in order to measure patient response to inpatient rehabilitation.

• Completed training for clinical privileging in fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of the swallow (FEES)
• Communicated with staff speech pathologist, physicians, and nursing in order to determine the need for FEES as a diagnostic tool.
• Educated patient, staff, and family on FEES protocol

• Direct therapy with children birth-3 with primarily language, phonological, and articulation disorders in their natural environments.
• Provide family centered and culturally responsive speech therapy services.
• Team-based approach with constant communication with family, other therapists, teachers, nanny’s, etc.

• Conducted speech, language, and swallowing evaluations and provide skilled treatment in a subacute setting
• Created effective treatment, progress, and discharge reports using electronic and paper based data systems.
• Worked with an interdisciplinary team in order to implement a plan of care in order to maximize patients’ functional gains to return home or to a more independent setting.
