I am also a seasoned educator, with over 25 years of experience teaching at the university level, public health preparedness classes, and outdoor emergency care.

  • In charge of training and educating staff in the Division of Emergency Preparedness and Response
  • Revamped training plan in collaboration with division leadership, ensuring relevance and currency of required training.
  • Collaborate with national organizations, such as the Center for Rural and Domestic Preparedness, to host specialized training sessions on topics like mass casualty management.
  • In charge of the learning management system, MI-TRAIN and since 2013. This includes managing a team to ensure issues with the system are resolved in a timely manner. Over 20 tickets on average are resolved per day. I manage the catalog of training content with over 400 courses from our bureau alone and growing. I manage system administrators including, State Police, Corrections, local health departments and healthcare coalitions to ensure continued content update and user management.
