I'm a motivated and compassionate person with exceptional social skills, communication abilities, and a valuable medical assistant and pharmaceutical background. I recently received my Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Portland State University and I have a passion to help individuals who have found themselves to be incarcerated. While my original goal was to become a probation officer, I would be happy to explore any position in the criminology field as long as I am able to contribute to the betterment of an individual . I pursue every opportunity to support team members and proactively address issues, and I have taken many valuable additional criminology classes such as Crisis Intervention in Criminology, Human Trafficking, Perspectives on Terrorism, Use Of Force in Criminal Justice, Counseling Skills for Criminal Justice, and Ethical Leadership in Criminal Justice.
Member of New Song Community Church security team, and a Sunday School teacher to kindergarteners.
I only worked here for a short time but I was able to learn a lot, and I was trained as a Certified Starbucks Barista by a coworker, an excellent Barista himself, named Jeffrey.
I was a (temporary) medical assistant for Adventist Health for about 7 years where I traveled around to all of the Portland Adventist medical clinics in the Portland Metropolitan/Vancouver area filling in for other RN's or Medical Assistants while they were ill or on vacation. I absolutely loved it! I filled in for nursing staff and receptionists both, working in clinics from pediatrics to internal medicine, to gynecology, occupational medicine, and urgent care.
I completed my college internship from MHCC at East Portland Pediatric Clinic, and eventually got hired. There were 5 pediatricians that I rotated working with. I assisted with procedures such as lacerations, circumcisions, toe-nail removals, and many others. Most infants required many immunizations and it was awesome experience and training.
