Seeing ENT, opthal, & overflow surgical/ortho cases like esophageal cancer, laryngeal mass, breast mass, GERD, sickle cell crisis, corneal ulcers, retinal detachment, eye infections, otitis media, fractures, abscesses, & exp. lap etc. Ratio from 1:3-8 depending on census. Good physical assessment skills, can auscultate, inserts NGTs & Foley; does care r/t trache, chest tubes, ostomy care, chronic/ surgical wounds, hemovac & JP drains; blood transfusions, NGT feeds, TPN, & occasionally care r/t CVCs- Familiar with US like medications including insulin sliding scale/infusions, fentanyl patch, morphine, Lasix, Valium oxycodone , methadone, trazodone, and Hydralazine etc. Uses automated V/S machine, pulse oximeters, & glucometers. Familiar with IV pumps and computer documentation.
