I am qualified for the position due to my extensive knowledge and electrical experience. I started my career by completing a 5 year apprentice program (IBEW) to receive my unrestricted journeyman’s electrical license. Throughout my career I have taken on many roles in the electrical industry. My latest position was an electrical designer at the Tesla Gulf Coast Lithium Refinery. In this position I was the electrial designer of over 75% of the cable tray in the Refinery. I designed the lighting, receptacles, and emergency lighting in the control building for the facilities. In this position I helped design the electrical standards that will be used in the Refinery. My design was what we used for IFC drawings. Once the engineering team approved and made any changes I would finish the drawings and make ready for AFC drawings. Throughout the designing I would use Navisworks to verify any clashes from other trades. While designing at Tesla I used Revit 23-24, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Navisworks, aconex, and excel.
My previous job was detailing, coordination, and design work at Berg Electrical (MEP/ BIM). In this role I have run multi story hotels/residents, hospitals, and border crossing facilities. I have assisted on The Tindall, Travis County Court House, and Garza Ranch, and the Fairmont Hotel. While assisting on these jobs and had weekly coordination meeting, I had my own projects where I was the lead designer. I personally ran as a lead detailer and coordinator at UTMB, Kalahari Convention Center, AC Autograph Hotel Collection(Otis Hotel), Columbus New Mexico border crossing, Hyatt Hotel Austin,5th and Brazos (Tommie and Thompson Hotels (32 stories). While in this position as a detailer/ designer I would design and coordinator my own projects and assisted on the others. During the designing process we would design all the electrical elements. That would include all electrical, any controls, fire alarm, security and even data. With my experience in the trade I would include very detailed drawings that would help the field team with the layout. We would also go into so much detail we had a prefab department to assist the crews in the field and these drawings would help cut the installation time. In the detailing position we used programs such as Revit (versions17-21), Navis Works, AutoCAD, Blue Beam, and Pro Cor. I am experienced in Excel as well.
While working as a detailer I still run my own fabrication shop on my off times and weekends for customers all over the Nation. I have full-time employees at my shop.
I believe I will be an asset to your company with my diverse background for many years to come.
