• Presented legislative proposals at the Texas Federation of College Republicans State Convention (April 26, 2025) at the Texas Capitol in Austin; drafted and delivered policy reforms aimed at amending the ADA, Section 504, and Texas Education Codes to better support students with medical conditions, increase university accountability, and expand oversight authority of state legislators. Proposals were well received by attendees and state-level officials.

• American College of Chest Physicians, Health, 05/23, Pulmonary Hypertension Survivor dedicated to making a difference in healthcare.

• Pulmonary Hypertension Association Politics: Patient Advocate for the State of Texas selected by the Pulmonary Hypertension Association to to Congressmen Jodey Arrington, and Senator John Cornyn on May 14th and May 29th of 2024 to advocate for the urgent need of three bills needing to be placed onto Congress' agenda. The three bills are as follows: (SOAR) Act (S.3821, H.R. 7829) aims to address these challenges in accessing supplemental oxygen. (HELP) Copays Act (S. 1375, H.R. 830) prevents federally regulated insurance companies from implementing copay accumulator policies. Safe Step Act (S. 652, H.R. 2630) places reasonable limitations on step-therapy requirements in the case of high-risk health conditions, such as Pulmonary Hypertension. 5/24

• Clinical Teaching Participant – University Medical Center (UMC), Lubbock, TX
  Volunteered as a live patient model during Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension instruction led by Dr. Victor Test; supported hands-on medical education by allowing medical students to perform supervised physical examinations to better understand rare cardiopulmonary pathology. 6/23
