• Read and interpret blueprints, skhes, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece.
• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, turning, and grinding.
• Monitor CNC machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as necessary.
• Perform minor maintenance on the CNC machines such as replacing cutting tools or cleaning machinery parts.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerance using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers.

2 DMG Mori NLX3000 lathes w/ sub spindles and live tooling
NTX 2500 5-axis lathe/machining center


Occasionally run Hass and DMG Mori mills when covering for someone else. Have also spent time in inspection and the saw department when they were overloaded with work.

3D Modeled, Programmed, and Machined all parts required to produce past turntable models from existing blueprints or to create new models / prototypes from scratch
Became certified & proficient setting up and operating the following Machines :

• DMG Mori CMX 1100V Mill (Fanuc)
• Komo VR 508 5” x 8” CNC router (Fanuc)
• Hanwha XD32H CNC 7 Axis Swiss Lathe w/ bar feeder (Fanuc)
• Doosan Puma Lathes w/ Sub-Spindles

Programmed majority parts myself using CAD/Cam and sometimes longhand.
Used Fusion360 for 3d Modeling then exported file to FeatureCam for Programming. Semi familiar with Solidworks & Mastercam.
Created dimensional prints & set-up sheets. Ordered tooling, inserts, and all materials. Created inspection sheets and measured all dimensions on first parts prior to full production

• Operate VTLs (vertical turning lathes) between 56" and 200"
• Experienced with both manual and CNC controls.
• Use of overhead crane to load/unload, rearrange, and flip parts weighing up to 80,000 pounds. Completed advanced rigging training.
• Ability to set up, level, and indicate parts into a 4 jaw chuck system
• Ability to machine dimensions, flatness, concentricity, and parallelism within .001"
• Preform quality inspections for other operators.
• Maintain documentation though dimensional inspection reports and shop order forms.
• Check geometry and analyze tool paths in Mastercam
