  • Performed administrative and supervisory work assisting the direction of the Police Department
  • Supervised and managed all of the enforcement divisions of the department to include the Patrol Division, the Traffic Division, and the Criminal Investigations Division.

This involved managing and budgeting the grant money received, scheduling officers to work the enforcement hours that were budgeted for, and submitting monthly reports to the state of Louisiana in reference to our progress throughout the grant year.
  • Conducted yearly evaluations on each of the five lieutenants under my supervision and six-month evaluations on all new hires who had not yet been assigned to a shift. Also responsible to read over and check for accuracy each of the yearly evaluations submitted by these lieutenants for each of their subordinates. Once complete, I would then submit a written response along with each of these evaluations to my chain of command for further review.

  • Was event commander for our yearly Mardi Gras parade which involved the creation of the Operations Plan, coordinating with all area police agencies, contacting businesses along the route, ensuring the parade route was made safe with the use of barricades and parking signage, and ultimately commanding the event which included the supervision of over 150 police officers.
