  • Closely monitored and recorded locations, mining progress and safety conditions.
  • Visually inspected all work areas for hazards and successfully performed over methane gas checks using MX4 Gas Detectors.
  • Observed hand signals, grade stakes and other markings when operating machines.
  • Worked in mines up to 500 feet underground mining coal as a Longwall Operator.
  • Set support (timbers, props, cans) constructed and pumped over 100 seals.

  • Responsible for cleaning and mechanically maintaining facilities such as feeders, feeder tunnels, crushers, the tipple, the silos, beltlines, etc...
  • Responsible for upholding and understanding strict environmental codes and regulations surrounding all work on the surface set forth by the DEQ, EPA and MSHA. Responsible for providing a safe and compliant work environment in accordance with MSHA and mine safety standards

  • As Co-Captain, won 6 trophies at Mine Rescue Competition in June of 2021 (Rocky Mountain Mine Rescue Ass. competition in Craig, CO.). Took first in first aid, field problem first day, and overall competition. Third on the second day of field competition and team tech.
  • First Aid certified, Papered in the State of Montana for Surface and Underground Foreman.
  • Supervised team of 5 staff members as a support step-up foreman for 4 years. Trained many inexperienced miners to be safe and reliable members of the Signal Peak team.
