While at McDonald's, I worked as a service employee and a crew trainer. My responsibilities as a service employee includes:
- Janitorial Maintenance (Basic cleaning of high traffic areas as well as lower traffic)
- Customer Service (This includes basic hospitality while communicating with customers as well as conflict management when things didn't go as planned)
- Food Health and Safety (Basic knowledge and proper procedures while handling raw and cooked food)
- Cash Register Skills (Basic operation and procedures of a cash register)
- Peer Communication Skills (Talking with fellow employees to work together fluidly as a team to maximize efficiency and potential)
My responsibilities as a crew trainer include:
- Basic Training of All Positions (Instructing them on correct procedures and restrictions in all required positions)
- Follow-Up Coaching (Training doesn't stop after the initial few weeks of training, its a constant journey of self betterment and understanding of your job. That being said, it is my responsibility to communicate with new and existing employees to make sure the understand how to properly do their job as a service worker)
- Positive Reinforcement (This means congratulating and applauding good work while simultaneously providing assistance in reoccurring issues while training)
