As a marine mat installer for boats my first tasks involved scanning the boats deck dimensions and creating a 2D render to confirm the mats would fit properly. The next step was placing the order for the specific design the client requested along with coordinating a date for install, lastly to return to the boat to map out and install the final product. I also took on some additional tasks to assist my coworkers and supervisors around the office with such things as picking up and dropping off materials, acting as a quality control to double check measured projects ensuring accuracy. This mix of hands-on work and support tasks has allowed everyone to work more efficiently.

My main duty is the assembly and boxing department. I tend to be the more attentive one. I'm always noticing all the flaws of each individual part, therefore I'm the person in charge of quality control and packaging clients orders, making sure everything is above expectations and all needs are met before shipment. While I have downtime waiting on parts or am simply ahead of schedule I tend to the cnc machinery to check if it requires any maintenance or if one of my co-workers needs a hand. Another part of my job is running any errands such as picking up needed tools, hardware, and or parts to finish off the final product. Once all is done I try to keep myself busy by making the work area as clean as possible by sweeping, emptying any machinery, or cleaning over any surfaces necessary.

As an rss I was a rank below assistant manger, therefore I held the responsibility of the key holder. I was in charge of helping customers get what they needed, and making trips to the bank to get change for the store also depositing any of the larger bills. On days I would open the store I would make sure everyone had the right amount of money in the registers along with the correct amount of money in the safe. The days I would close the store I made sure to collect all the money and confirm the sufficient amount was there and close the day off. Some other important duties were answering the phone on time, making sure the shelves were organized and assisting customers with all of their needs such as replacing a battery, finding a tool or even just answering a simple question they had.

During my time here I was still attending school so I would go into work at around 4:30 till 10:00 pm. My main duty was to make sure everyone in the store was being helped out and coworkers were kept busy. I assisted customers by guiding them in the right direction and selling them the appropriate tools and hardware for their project. Not only was I in the customer service department, but also worked worked behind the register and billed people out. I was also on top of making sure the shelves were fully stocked with product and keeping the store clean for customers. When the weekends came around I would work from open to close, 9am-10pm and would complete the same tasks as weekdays with the exception of the store receiving a truck full of supplies and merchandise which I would unload, sort, and distribute throughout the store replenishing the shelves.
