Summary

I am a 5-year Master Police Officer and a 3.5-year Medicolegal Death Investigator who is extensively trained in death investigations, O.C.G.A., and police tactics. I specialize in death investigations in all five manners of death. I take great pride in my report writing and the ability to clearly detail the findings of any investigation in which I participate. I really enjoy teaching and instructing, and I became a field training officer and a certified general instructor to follow that passion. I am a critical thinker who is skilled in investigations, public relations, family relations, and instructing.

Candidly speaking, I have experience, training, and leadership skills. I have been fortunate to learn so much through the DeKalb County Police Department and the DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office. I truly believe that I can be an asset due to my passion, my inquisitive nature, and my desire to challenge myself. I have strong morals, and clearly defined self-implemented goals.

Cliché as it may sound, my goal in the Georgia Public Safety Training Center is quite similar to my reasoning for why I joined policing and death investigations: I want to help, plain and simple. I became a police officer to help those who could not help themselves, I became an FTO/Instructor to help guide new officers/ investigators, I became a negotiator to help those when all else seemed lost, and I became a death investigator to help those navigate an immeasurably painful fact of life. I want to apply that desire to the Georgia Public Safety Training Center. I want to educate, I want to learn, I want to help.
