Substation construction involves building facilities that convert, regulate, or switch electrical voltage. My job is to lay out and form up piers for structures that will hold buss work, breaker pads and transformer pads. We instill safety in everyday work being around live lines.

Scaffolders erect and dismantle temporary metal scaffolding on structures and building sites, so that other people can work at height and carry out their jobs safely. Scaffolders may set up scaffolding around a structure, or inside a building undergoing construction, renovation or demolition. I also maintained good relationships with operations at Flint Hills. I was a crew lead I always made sure to check in with the number 1s on anything they built or modified daily.
