I am Kevin Lazo. I am a senior that attends Palisades Charter high school. Many students may be unsure of what they want to do after high school. Although I still have missing pieces in my plan, I am sure that I want to move forward with my life and continue my educational prowess . It is going to be a big step forward but I feel like it is my responsibility and duty to continue my education and accomplish milestones that ones before me weren't able to accomplish. The reason why I think that I'm ready for this big next step is because I've hit a point in my life where it is time for me to be exposed to new scenery with education and just in life in general. I feel like it is the right option for me to also continue my education and also I want to make something out of myself. Another reason why I feel this is the way is because I want to do what my parents weren't able to do in their life. I feel like it is my obligation/duty to do this not for my parents but for myself and my future. One last reason why I want to pursue this path is because I want to follow behind my brother’s footsteps. I see him putting the utmost amounts of work in his craft and I want to be like that as well, one day i want to stand tall when i complete all my goals and be proud to say I did it after what i've gone through with my family and in life and i won't ever forget where I came from i will use that as motivation to push myself to the highest peak possible. What I want to get from my college experience is to grow as a person and develop even more independence than the amount I've got as of right now.. Another thing that I'd like to have is freedom to do the things I like or would like to do, for example just having some fun with friends and the people around me more frequently.. The main thing that I would like to get from my experience in college is responsibility to get things done or just responsibility in general. I think as a man i need to learn how to be responsible for my life and how i handle things like my mental health physical health and academic life and learn how to time manage things very good and not procrastinate My motive is to attend a college and get out of there as fast as possible. I will take as many extra classes that I can handle.I will strive to be a better me. I want to excel and be the best. I have the burning passion beating in my heart to reach the highest peaks in my future career. I want to grow as a person and manage my responsibilities like a true adult. After my college years the plan is to transfer to a university where I can pursue a major in aero engineering. Once I complete my years at the university to get my doctorate degree. Another goal that I want to achieve is to get my (PE) Professional engineering license for my career so I can manage my own group of engineers
