With over two decades at Trading and 14 years at Gelber Group, I've honed my trading acumen, blending fundamental and technical analysis to secure returns often exceeding 100%. My expertise in volatility analysis and trading psychology has been pivotal in my career. Specializing in corn and soybeans, my strategic, low-risk approaches underscore my market resilience and adaptability.
I have been trading for 20+ years successfully. I use my experience and knowledge I have built over those years to help me in my every day decision making. I have a deep knowledge of the fundamentals not only of the options market but the futures market. I use both a fundamental and technical approach to trading the markets. My return on capital has been in excess of 100% most of my career. I run a very lean business with low expenses. I have taken a patient approach to look for market opportunities. I trade everything from skew, calendars spreads in a specific product or trading different product vs or with the other. I structure my positions to be low risk high reward. My use of capital varies throughout the year but typically averages $500k. I have mentored many traders in my time and was mentored by Brian Gelber for the past 14 years. I trade corm and soybeans options and futures primarily. I used to trade wheat more but have backed away from the product a bit since the Russia Ukraine war as the liquidity is not there and the price moves are dictated by headlines.
Traded in the soybean options pit Primarily. Also traded in corn options and wheat options at times. We ran a book using Kostas' money trading mainly soybeans and corn. We averaged $2 million in returns with our best year being 2008 making $10+ million. I was in charge of keeping our corn book most of the year while trading beans and keeping deltas and hedges correct. I learned how to trade and manage risk through running my own book as well.
I traded Eurodollar futures spreads primarily. We traded the overnight session and provided liquidity. I learned the foundations of trading and risk management in my time there. I moved on to a better opportunity in the Ag options after being offered a spot at the CBOT.
