Does the timely ordering and purchasing of all food items, equipment, furniture, supplies, and services?
Essential to the process would be the negotiation of the best price for value. Obtain two to three bids or quotations, as applicable, to facilitate this process.
Processes purchase requisitions on a timely basis. Follows up on orders to ensure specifications and proper pars are met.
Manages the storeroom operation. Selects, trains, schedules, supervises, counsels, and handles the administrative function of the storeroom staff in accordance with established standards of hotel policy, safety, productivity, and performance.
Works closely with the Executive Chef and Catering on the purchase of food items, with consideration of prevailing market conditions, occupancy, forecasts, and the popularity of certain dishes.
