- Obtain specimens from the floors or Emergency Room and outpatient.

- Responds appropriately to calls

- labeling specimens and getting to the lab in a timely manner

- Helped in collecting blood for legal blood draws

- Putting orders in from outside accounts if specimen was dropped off or patient comes in. to have labs drawn.

Receive specimens from the floors and Emergency room and receive them in the computer and label them and carry them to them correct departments in timely manner.

Collect specimens on pediatric and geriatric patients in the outpatient labs also performing ABG's on EKG's on pre surgical patients who are having gastric bypass surgery

• Drew blood from veins by vacuum tube, syringe, or butterfly venipuncture methods.
• Collected blood samples using vacutainer tubes, tourniquets, syringes, butterfly needles, and straight needles.
• Labeled transfer tubes and followed exact directions for handling and storing specimens for transport.
• Protected patients by following infection control, sharps disposal, and biohazardous waste disposal procedures.
• collected specimen's from outside accounts such as nursing homes and short term rehabilitaton center.
