  • Lead Outside Plant Engineer for LA South and Mission Viejo markets (Orange County) overseeing 1 Fiber OSP build for market
  • Manage optical design, planning and engineering of overall build by overseeing 1 Fiber Engineers and general contractors that represent Verizon Business as sub-contractors for build
  • Job responsibilities include… Reviewed / approved Core build high level and low-level designs via 3-GIS / FIM (geospatial asset management system)
  • Reviewed / approved permit drawings / designs by GC, confirming GC is designing to Verizon standards using cost effective measures and routes considered to be time saving for efficiency of build
  • Communicated with entities both within Verizon and outside of Verizon such as municipalities and GC's active with Verizon project
  • With my extensive wireless and outside plant knowledge I was able to lead site walks to go over designs and hand offs between wireless and ROW

  • I have negotiated, designed and provisioned Ethernet over SONET Transport systems (OC3, OC48, etc) as well as Native Ethernet Systems (DWDM - 1 Gig E, 10 Gig, 40 Gig, etc) for wireless customer traffic through the network
  • Worked in developing multiyear project cost and schedule estimates for internal management
  • Worked with internal teams to implement these systems
  • In driving the project, I am involved in resolution in troubleshooting these systems during implementation with both internal and external sources
  • Systems used in this role are Granite/Xng (circuit design database), Access, Visio, Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Peoplesoft (creating / tracking PO's) and circuit reporting tool (BAM)
  • Worked in migrating and turning up circuits on Fujitsu 9500 MSPP's
