Accomplishments
- Worked with school leaders, community stakeholders and local government to establish the first STEM school in Buncombe County.
- Led a team of CDC's in the establishment and implementation of Honors level program offerings for CTE classes district wide at the high school level.
- Led the CTE department in obtaining state licensure for being a GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) certified school.
- Three times Teacher of the month award while serving as the Building Tech Teacher.
- While leading the SST school safety team, I petitioned the county leaders to increase the building security to include metal detectors and safety glass installed. This was and still is the only high school in the county with this level of security.
