As a Resource Manager, my primary objective is to support the functioning business operations by managing staff, coordinating operations support and communicating with key stakeholders to ascertain project requirements. As Resource Manager, for US Water's Industrial Group, I am responsible for the management of over 100 operations and maintenance (O&M) field level staff at more than 30 national sites.
Responsibilities include:
• Leads recruiting efforts and collaborates with both HR, external recruiters and stake holders to make selection and recommendation for new hire
• Collaborates with managers and supervisors to supply relief staffing from other locations where needed
• Preparation and distribution of staffing schedule on a weekly basis
• Oversight, tracking, record keeping and coordination of training for staff within the Operations Company.
• Responsible to assure required training is accomplished through collaboration with managers, technical support and supervisors.
• Establish regulatory required training and implement in the overall training program.
• Tracking of operator licenses and qualifications required for regulatory compliance
• Develops and leads Operations Company Talent Manager Program.
• Collaborates with Managers to write and conduct PDP reviews for reports. Emphasis on the talent management aspect and advancing individuals growth and development
• Support Managers or Supervisors with investigations or engagement to resolve HR issues arising at a location. Collaborate with HR and Managers as needed to implement needed changes
• Management of the rental equipment, fleet vehicles, owned vehicles and equipment program and routine reporting to management on the effectiveness of the program.
• Assist operations or maintenance personnel in the procurement and distribution of supplies, PPE, and project materials as needed.
• Manage direct report staff and matrix resources available to perform the Resource Support function.
• Coordinates with payroll to assure individuals are properly paid.
• Manages onboarding process for staff level new hires
• Collaborates with HR for performance improvement plans and terminations
• Perform special projects assigned by management
• Provide Full Time Employees information to finance for budgeting and forecast updates
