I drive around the country splicing and testing fiber for electric companies averaging between 50 to 70 hour a week. These job sites include new solar fields and hydrogen power plants. I splice the communication panels at the substations, the inverters in the fields and all points in between using cases, closures and cassettes. I use a 90R ribbon splicer as well as a AC5 single splicer for my splicing. I fill out a action plan and safety report daily. I send my work reports and test results to management daily to document progress and for records updating. I have been thoroughly trained in the use of PPE, hazards and chemicals and have obtained my 30 hour OSHA certificate. I work on large worksites with minimal or no supervision and am self sufficient in completing my tasks in a timely manner.

• Supervised and inspected the placing and splicing of the new fiber optic network being installed into new and existing subdivisions and communities
• This included placing of underground duct and vaults as well as the restoration of customers properties, lawns and driveways
• Verified the correct size and type of fiber cables and terminals were being placed in the correct vaults in preparation for the splicers
• Verified the splicers completed the splices for terminals and hubs and if any changes were made to the counts or blueprints
• Did quality inspections on the contractors work and advised Frontier management when work was complete so they could offer services to customers
• Handled customer complaints about property damage and issues and contacted contracting companies to ensure issues were resolved for the customers.

• Installed Fiber optic ONT's and power supply units as well as running coax cables and ethernet cables inside homes and businesses
• Installed video boxes, telephone, routers and wireless systems in homes and businesses
• Pulled fiber drops through terminal vaults and ducts to feed homes and businesses
• Spliced fiber in order to provide service to customer
• Set up voice, internet and video systems inside homes and businesses on a daily basis
• Troubleshoot new and existing issues with fiber optic system which includes keeping up with new technology, systems, onts and high speed routers as they are implemented into the Frontier network
• Reported issues with newly implemented equipment to management in hopes that these issues will be resolved quickly before the company suffers from faulty systems or loss of customers
• Worked with engineering, contractors and many other departments to ensure jobs are done as efficiently as possible for a smooth customer experience.

• Spliced single and ribbon fiber helping to create the Verizon fiber optic underground network in Hillsborough County and surrounding areas
• Certified for bucket truck and manhole work
• Dispatched out of Ybor and University yards during my time as a fiber splicer where I worked on large and small fiber jobs and cutovers
• These include large road jobs, Verizon work orders, Greenfield jobs, new and existing subdivisions, vault terminals and business terminals
• Volunteered for as many night cuts as possible and enjoy manhole work
• Worked with many different brands of splicers and cases and am proficient in making ribbons out of single fibers
• Worked with other departments including engineering to correct or resolve issues and problems with prints and work orders
• Used to being given a print and working through entire job with no supervision

• Operated heavy machinery including Ditch Witch equipment to place fiber optic ducts and vaults underground using prints provided by company
• Drove large trucks and towed 20 foot trailers to job sites
• Placed 4 inch duct with locator balls underground for crossings before asphalt roads were poured
• Trenched in orange fiber ducts underground and placed underground vaults on property lines
• Placed rock in vaults, ran mule tape through duct and plugged ends of duct
• Verified final placement matched prints provided by supervisor
• Weeks later came back and pulled fiber cables and terminal tails through duct
• Labeled and prepared fiber cables and terminals for splicers
• Worked with little or no supervision performing all these tasks.

• Handled upset customers calling in with phone issues
• Worked with several computer systems to test and fix problems
• Dispatched technicians to the ones that couldn't be fixed from inside
• Moved to the escalation desk and took care of extremely irate customers and acted as a buffer between escalated calls and supervisors
• In charge of the Tampa call center answer time for several states
• Monitored the call center employees to ensure scheduled shifts, breaks and lunches were adhered to and reported daily infractions to the call center manager.

• Assisted customers with payments, payment extensions, and new services as well as cancellations.

• Sold air conditioners and accessories to contractors at wholesale prices.

• Loaded trucks with forklift as well as went on deliveries and supervised appliance installations periodically.

• Had a Secret Clearance in order to work with ship audio equipment and visual equipment

• Sent and deciphered coded messages from ship captain to ship captain during wartime and radio silence times by morse code using infrared lights and infrared goggles
